OF PEOPLE EVERY YEAR REQUIRE THERAPY AFTER
pneumonia, COVID-19, surgeries, COPD and lung cancers, or other medical cases correlated with loss of breathing performance
Our mission is to provide high-quality technological tools for entertaining and efficient home pulmonary therapy.
However, such tools may be only powerful if available on a large scale, driven by demand. To shape our solutions, we talk to people with respiratory conditions and medical experts. If you want to share your story with our team, please get in touch with us. We are more than happy to talk!
Bringing pulmonary rehabilitation home
Solution
Target Group
Medical Cases
AR mobile app to accompany simple mechanical trainers
parents of kids over 5 years old and people under 40 years old
sport/music trainings, pneumonia, COVID-19, cardiology surgeries
complex device for automatic resistive pulmonary treatment
self-employed and hospital-based physiotherapists
pneumonia, COVID-19, COPD, lun cancers, cardiology surgeries
We develop devices for fully-automatic breathing exercises with resistance.
The whole rehabilitation process is gamified by controlling applications with inspiration or expiration. Our solutions analyse patients’ activity and automatically adjust the treatment intensity to their needs. With these, you can forget the pains of tiring travels to the doctors’ offices. However, they can still monitor patients’ performance and modify the routines in specific cases. We are happy to present you with the future of personalised medicine!
Personal
Boreas and Notos are learning every user’s capabilities and needs thanks to its intelligent algorithms.
Home-use
The devices are designed to support patients during their home therapy based on the gathered data.
Entertaining
Applications integrated within the systems, making treatment the real fun.
Boreas
A device for automatic pulmonary rehabilitation in hospitals
Boreas solves the problem of insufficient pulmonary physiotherapists in hospitals to provide enough treatment to patients after surgeries or with severe COPD, lung cancer, pneumonia or COVID by serving numerous patients simultaneously with fleets of devices.
The device is an advanced mechatronic system for pulmonary rehabilitation. It is based on a microcomputer, which controls the resistance of the treatment, measures its parameters, visualises the desired breathing patterns, and sends the data measured to the physician.
The therapy is gamified and can be realised with a virtual trainer or an arcade game. During sessions, a patient must generate enough pressure to open the inner breathing channel and then follow the natural breathing rhythm under changing flow limitations. Flow limitation and pressure threshold settings are adjusted automatically while exercising based on the patient’s performance.
At the end of the rehabilitation session, the results compared to the historical ones are presented and can be analysed remotely by the medical expert. The device contains an exchangeable sterile filter and an inlet tube. Hence, it can be used by numerous patients.
REAL RESISTANCE DURING THE THERAPY
Inhale and exhale resistance of two types automatically controlled while exercising, enabling diversified therapy outperforming traditional methods used for complex therapy of different medical cases
TREATMENT OF MULTIPLE PATIENTS
The device designed for telerehabilitation or exercising with multiple patients after pneumonia, COVID-19, surgeries, with COPD or lung cancers at the same time to maximise the capabilities of a single physician
FULL AUTOMATION & PERSONALISATION
Exercising sessions tailored to the needs of an individual user based on their treatment history and constantly measured performance providing the best physiotherapy results
PRECISE TREATMENT GUIDELINES
Constant analysis of the user’s performance based on the precise measurements of inhaling/exhaling parameters used to define their natural breathing patterns and possible improvements, and visualised intuitively
Notos
System for Home Pulmonary Rehabilitation with an Augmented Reality Mobile App
Notos solves the problem of people after pneumonia, COVID-19 and surgeries who abandon prescribed home pulmonary physiotherapy as they get bored and do not see progress. It makes the process engaging due to gamification and presentation of measured results.
It is a simple system which consists of a 3D-printed assembling stand for a smartphone and a mechanical pulmonary trainer with three elevating balls. Thanks to this simplicity, it can be used at home by hardly anyone and remain relatively inexpensive. The design enables registration of the balls’ motion during respiratory treatment and uses an estimation of the inspiration speed, based on these, as the control signal for a mobile game.
The therapy is gamified as the mobile application is analysing the breathing patterns of the user and motivates them to prolong inspiration and keep the desired inspiration-to-expiration ratio. At the end of the rehabilitation session, the graph of inspiration speed and results compared to the historically collected are presented.
GAMIFICATION & ENTERTEINMENT
Repetitive and tiring rehabilitation with the simplest mechanical pulmonary trainers turned into an engaging mobile game, motivating to increase medical performance thanks to regular exercising
PRECISE TREATMENT GUIDELINES
Constant analysis of the user’s performance based on the estimated breathing power changing in time used to define their natural breathing patterns and possible improvements, and visualised intuitively in the game
HOME-USE RESISTANCE TREATMENT
The device and the game designed for self-exercising at home with widely available equipment as an enhancement of hospital-based pulmonary rehabilitation to obtain the best results sooner
FOR ANYONE EXCLUSIVELY
Home training for kids and adults after pneumonia, surgeries or COVID-19, but also the ones who want to improve their sports performance or musical skills with breathing exercises
